end of year review...

hello people of the interweb!

well it was a lovely 2015 indeed.

Crow Nuts on vinyl was completed, mixed by the masterful John Paterno and released in October.  it is available for sale on HQ virgin vinyl (2 record set!) here on my website, and we're really happy with it.

excited also about the new M83 record... on which I contributed lots of CP70 and piano...

I have a little giggypoo at our favorite club to create, THE BLUE WHALE in Little Tokyo THIS Saturday January 2 w/ Tim Lefebvre, Steve Hass, Gabe Johnson & Jeff Parker.  What a band!  we'll be debuting some new music of my own as well as Gabe's, and also songs by Jeff Parker.

also recently made a "chamber jazz" record w/ Gabe Johnson which is quite nice so stay tuned for that release.  this year also saw fun live collabs with Donny McCaslin, Steve Lukather & Larry Carlton, and Steve Martin & Martin Short w/ the Steep Canyon Rangers.  can't forget the special surprise appearance in San Antonio from Dave Letterman, my hero-- one of the great days of my life!

recording in Nashville in late Sept. w/ Will Lee, Keith Carlock, Jeff Coffin and Nir Felder recorded by Niko Bolas at Blackbird was an exciting experience, and I've been going through choosing takes and I have to say- it's really good!  look for a spring release.

thanks everyone.

ps. sorry my website was down for a while.  man, I don't know how to do complex things, it turns out.
